Program Policies

These policies apply to registrations for French Beyond the Classroom programs, including Blink – Stop-Motion Animation in French, unless otherwise stated at registration.

Registration is confirmed once the required registration form has been completed and payment has been received.Spaces are limited and are allocated on a first-confirmed basis. A submitted registration form without payment does not guarantee a space.Any deposit identified as non-refundable at the time of registration is applied toward the total program fee.

French Beyond the Classroom reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a program due to insufficient enrolment, instructor illness, facility issues, severe weather or other circumstances that make it impractical or unsafe to proceed.If an entire program is cancelled by French Beyond the Classroom before it begins, families will receive a full refund of all fees paid, including any deposit.If an individual session must be cancelled, we will make reasonable efforts to offer a replacement session. If a replacement cannot reasonably be provided, an appropriate credit or prorated refund may be offered.

Programs require a minimum number of participants to operate.If minimum enrolment has not been reached, French Beyond the Classroom may cancel the program and issue a full refund, or offer families the option of transferring their registration to another available program.Families will be notified as soon as reasonably possible if a program cannot proceed.

Children should not attend when they are too unwell to participate comfortably or when attending could reasonably pose a risk to other participants or staff.French Beyond the Classroom may ask that a child be picked up if they become unwell during a session.Missed sessions due to illness are subject to the regular absence and refund policy.

French Beyond the Classroom aims to provide a welcoming, respectful and safe environment for all participants.Children are expected to follow reasonable instructions and behave in a way that allows themselves and others to participate safely.If significant or repeated behaviour interferes with the safety or functioning of the program, we will normally work with the family to address the concern. In serious circumstances, French Beyond the Classroom reserves the right to end a child's participation. Refunds in such circumstances will be considered based on the individual situation.

Activities, instructors, rooms, schedules or other program details may occasionally need to change.Reasonable changes that do not substantially alter the nature of the program do not normally entitle participants to a refund.If a significant change materially affects a family's ability to participate, we encourage the family to contact us so that an appropriate solution can be considered.

Photos or video may only be used for promotional, educational or program documentation purposes where the appropriate parent or guardian permission has been obtained.Participation in French Beyond the Classroom does not require families to consent to their child's image being used for promotional purposes.

Participants are responsible for personal belongings brought to the program. French Beyond the Classroom cannot accept responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged personal items except where required by law.

Families are encouraged to let us know about accommodations or supports that may help their child participate successfully.We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate individual needs within the staffing, setting and nature of the program and will communicate with families where additional planning may be required.
