Premium French immersion experiences for kids in Toronto’s West End
French Beyond the Classroom offers creative, small-group French programs for children, including beginners and students in French immersion. Our classes focus on helping children use the language actively — through speaking, collaboration, and hands-on projects.
Programs include activities such as stop-motion animation, storytelling, and creative building. Children develop their French by working on meaningful projects, rather than isolated exercises, in a structured and supportive environment.

No prior knowledge of French is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn!
Meet Antoine
Antoine is a native French speaker from Belgium and an experienced immersion teacher in Toronto. He founded French Beyond the Classroom to make French learning authentic and fun. He lives in Roncesvalles.

Blink - Free Discovery Workshop
A creative introduction to French through movie-making
This free one-hour workshop is a condensed preview of Blink — our 3-month weekly Stop-Motion Animation program.
French Beyond the Classroom invites children ages 6–12 to step into the creative world of stop-motion film while naturally engaging with French in a relaxed, supportive setting.
During this one-hour session, children will:
- Manipulate simple clay characters
- Build simple scenes
- Capture images frame by frame
- Use simple French words and expressions
- Leave with a short stop-motion film they helped create
No previous French experience is required. Beginners are welcome.
Please note that, while optional, parents are encouraged to stay with us during the workshop.
